Finnair has announced that it will cancel more than 100 flights on Monday, May 19, due to a strike at Helsinki Airport, potentially affecting around 14,000 passengers.
The cancellations stem from a strike initiated by the Finnish Aviation Union (IAU), which represents ground handling and catering personnel.
The union decided to take action after failing to make progress in contract negotiations with the employers’ association Palta since January. If talks continue to stall, additional strikes are planned for May 30 and June 2.
